I havent used it for few month so i dont remember too much but i do remember bloatware such as discord overlay, like some unofficial linux client mod
Using something called rpm-ostree. rpm-ostree is a hybrid image/package system. It combines libostree and libdnf to provide atomic and safe upgrades with local RPM package layering. Still that isnt real package manager since you cannot remove or install anything from fedora repo, it is only used for updates and thats all

Linux@lemmy.ml•Coworker wants to try Linux with gaming, Bazzite or Mint?Polski
194·15 days agoDefinitely not bazzaite, it has lots of unremovable bloatware and since it doesn’t have native package manager it will be a problem. For gaming i propose cachyos, it focuses a lot on performance in games. They have their own proton, kernel and they even had their own browser

2·1 month agoAnd it is easier to setup. For phone link you have to scan QR code, wait for it to pair etc… And with KDE connect you click pair on one device and on second you accept. Easier and safer
I used eos as my main distro before switching to kubuntu and then to cachyos. One of best arch Linux forks. It is just like arch Linux + archinstall but is actually better than it.

28·1 month agoFor most stuff wine is working better than on Windows. Thats why people actually import wine drivers to their real Windows install
It is a really good solution though. I saved it for later

2·3 months agoYou sell them on marketplace, then for those you get your currency on steam wallet, then with that you can buy games. You can also sell other inventory items as long as game uses steam inventory

21·4 months agoCromite is bad browser and shouldnt be used. Use vivaldi or iron fox instead
Cromite including the incredibly sketchy Eyeo content filtering engine and stuff like additional codecs goes against what we’re trying to achieve. We also don’t think the randomization-based anti-fingerprinting approach works, among other issues. We care about implementing things properly instead of rushing to have as long of a feature list as possible at the expense of robustness, privacy, security and maintainability. It probably won’t last with the way they’re taking things.

I wish that I could switch to it but my main phone doesn’t have build for any Linux distro. And I would have to make one myself
