People here focus a lot on the fighting and difficulty.
Just so you know, it’s also absolutely gorgeous to look at and the game feel is incredibly tight and responsive. If you just run around in it for an hour or two, but don’t have the patience for getting really good a tapping your shoulder button, you probably still have a good time.
The only one that was on par so far was Nine Sols. It has the most insane final boss I’ve ever seen and the only bossfight I had to grind harder than Father Owl. Probably took me 8+ hours over three days. After beating it, i felt like I could parry bullets in real life if just tried a little harder. Gorgeous and deeply engaging game too.

I am not sure what negative effects my meds would have to have before I’d consider not taking them.
If they took away 10 years of my life I’d still take them because the 20 years without them were mostly pretty fucking miserable.
In a general sense. In the day to day business these ghouls can and will do things that will hurt their mid/long term interest because it fits their vibe or they don’t really get it/know the history.

First off: Congratulations on getting diagnosed. It’s a huge step and 18 is a really nice timing. Untreated ADHD in adults can be really crippling, because all the supporting structures like school and family break away and suddenly you realize that managing your own time schedule and house hold is really fucking hard. So good job 👍
Second: You took 30 mg of Elvanse/LDX for the first time and you felt nothing? That’s… impressive, honestly. Methylphenidate Non Responder are fairly known, but usually that amount of dexamphetamine does something to the human body. From your age I’d guess you are not a regular user of recreational amphetamines and have built a massive tolerance…
I also started with 30 mg Elvanse and was pretty seriously zoned in, deep focus, elevated mood, highly awake, loss of appetite and a very revelatory feeling, that I could finally tackle all the bullshit that I had avoided, delayed, ignored and forgotten. For me, the 30 mg were honestly too much. Over the last year I’ve built a tolerance and am now taking 40-70mg daily, depending on the challenges of the day.
Still I wouldn’t worry. No effect also means no bad side effects. Adjusting the dosage is entirely normal in the beginning and something your psychiatrist should do anyway. The therapeutic dosage goes up to 70 mg and there are edge cases with even higher doses. There is also methylphenidate (Ritalin, MPH, etc) and Atomotexetin. But for now, just stick with what you got.
Dealing with ADHD is a marathon, not a sprint. You’ve just started, so take the days as they come and trust your feelings above all else. If it works, you’ll know. And if not keep at it.

Eradication is really hard. If you just kill mosquitoes in a certain area, what’s gonna stop them from coming back? You’re just not gonna get all of them.
This way you introduce a mutation that can actually propagate through the gene pool, disabling the undesired trait for future generations. It’s also highly selective, so that you don’t accidentally get rid of other species or poison an area with pesticides.
Also living beings have no “purpose”. They fill an evolutionary niche and shape the ecological system around them. The piss off us, so we play a little god, but nature has no opinions or morals whatsoever.
Disco Elysium took me three tries over three years to finish. I always knew I liked it, but I had to find the right moment in time for it to grip me. The music, the vibe, the art… But soo much reading.
Same with Dark Souls, same with Outer Wilds. All three are now among my favourite games of all time.
If it’s not for you, it’s perfectly fine. But some pieces of art are good because they are not the instant dopamine delivery method. I played vampire survivors for like 6 hours straight and never touched it again. I’ll always think about Harry and Kim.
And yes, if you have ADHD, give it a try medicated. We always chase the dopamine and that sometimes blinds us to slower paced, more rewarding joy.

Tying carry weight to your strength stat is just wild. Oh you’re a caster? Good luck carrying that ebony cuirass out of here.
Then again, it is morrowind, so you can just cast Feather on yourself to carry more stuff OR even cast Burden on the enemy and suddenly they are overencumberd. Or drink strength potions. Or just fly. Or make a stupid amount of money in various ways, making loot kind of neglectable.
Love popOS, but it did not play well with my multi monitor setup. It just couldn’t deal with different resolutions (qhd laptop, two fhd monitors) and sizes. Mint can. So I am back to Mint and stopped worrying about distro hopping.
I don’t want to compile anything. I don’t want to “make”. I don’t want to use command lines. I don’t want to download Rust. Or know the difference between python2 and python3 and how you still have to be specific about it. I never wanna read a git manual with lines that mean nothing to me again. I don’t care about snap or flatpack or whatever package distribution gives me a year old version of my program on this distro and how that version differs from the one from the webpage.
Sorry Linux, but a big download button, double click, “install to c:/program files”, “want a short cut to desktop”, done. is the gold standard for 99% of applications.

Zelda - A link to the past: Set the Zelda formula for the next two decades. Aged imho better than OoT, because it stayed within the capabilities of the SNES and the pixelart is timeless. Wonderful vibes, great pacing and just so much fun.
Aim assist being in everything - if it’s crossplay, sure, level the playing field, but if it’s console v console there’s no need for that shit.
I love aim assist. It just needs to be reframed as an accessibility option. Especially with gamepads, having some tracking and magnetism makes games where you have to aim so much more enjoyable. My wrists and thumbs just aren’t doing the same things any more as when I was younger.
It’s probably not easy to find the balance, but in any single player or casual multiplayer game it is a very welcome sight.
