I have read that that is an issue. My own Pinetab 2 has a moral puncture and does not suspend at all. I probably fiddled too much with the config.
On the forum someone suggested to unload the driver first.
Not a perfect fit but Firefox can annotate PDFs out of the box. Maybe in some cases that is helpful ?
What do you hope comes after it ?
Yes, you can switch between accounts. In Profile->Settings->Accounts->Change Accounts Settings ->Add
After you have added a second account you can then switch between them with a select list at the top of the main Feed screen.
This looks incredibly polished, given that it is a quite new development. I did not even know that you could use a Windows Laptop as a display/keyboard 😀
I have downloaded it just now and the first impression is great. Really good app. Currently there is no iPad version. Maybe that’s possible in the future?
It also has a switch to enable SD-card boot first. There is a bit of info on the wiki
It sounds good, but if you discuss a question and come to a conclusion you would then have to organise that someone documents the result elsewhere, otherwise the hard earned insight, probably with contributions of several experts is lost.
Ada is really good at making this kind of bit hacking very transparent. It might be interesting to create a Ada version of the examples in the Article to illustrate this. Even the Rust solution looks really messy compared to how Ada approaches this.
Happy to report that the PineBook Pro is great (considering the price point) and the display is really good even compared to any kind of Laptop. 😀
Hmm, I can’t see how businesses have to take the risk to close again because one of their customers was infected. I guess that by the of pubs, theatres, cinemas, restaurants etc. demanding that their customers have taken precautions and don’t bring their business into danger (again) kind of through the back door a vaccination becomes if not mandatory then necessary to participate in more normal social life. And quite frankly I can relate to that. Individuals have rights and that’s ok, but other individuals also have rights and can react to how you act. Sounds ok to me. In practice there would be a lot of difficult individual cases but as a train of thought I don’t see why institutions should risk their existence because some people don’t want to get vaccinated (for whatever reasons).
I don’t have a RISK-V laptop, but I do use an ARM Linux laptop as my private laptop. Even after about 10 years you still find quite a lot of software that is not distributed (in binary) for ARM. Sometimes you can compile it yourself, sometimes it’s just not possible for a normal user.
So check if what you see as minimum requirements is possible right now, and see that you are clear how to get it. If your requirements are met now, then it can only be better in the future.
