Mountain biking. It’s such a huge money hole that it could never possibly be a financial investment.
I am very excited by this. Mainly because it shows Valve is putting a lot of work into making linux the ultimate platform for gaming. And I feel it’s going to be awesome!
Same here. I probably won’t by any of this but Valve is single handedly carrying the linux gaming revolution.
They have already stated that it won’t be price competitive with consoles. But hopefully a lot of people will realise they will save money in the long run through steam sails and not being locked into a single store.
They literally have to by law, it’s GPL software that’s how the license works.
I mean surely, they have direct access to the AOSP code, I’m sure they can just remove the anti freedom parts.
That makes sense, thanks for explaining (:

I don’t think your argument makes sense logically. Are you saying that copyleft software is enshitififying because big companies are pushing too many (optional) contributions? Are you aware that software maintainers don’t have to merge the contributions these people are pushing? With MIT like software contributers don’t even have the option to merge or not to merge because these companies just make a proprietary fork.

Criminal!
Isn’t anarcho capitalism just extremely radical liberalism? In which case people do take it very seriously. I know someone who is flying to some island in the pacific soon to get away from taxes and the government.

I didn’t explain it very clearly, I dislike the idea of shares because it results in a board of directers that all have different and contradictory goals to do with the company so the only thing they can agree on in the end is making money regardless of the ethical consequences.
Although since it’s one of the best ways to invest the money you have I don’t blame individuals for buying them.

Sorry I don’t get what you mean. Of course you don’t have to invest into the hole market when you buy a share.

wait until you start running your own servers and whatnot
Oh yeah I forgot about that, I’ve already bought several computers by that metric.

After building my first pc I will never buy a pre built again. I might never buy a pc again (pc of thesius!)

Shareholders are the worst, but I can’t blame individuals for buying shares (including myself) where it’s basically shooting yourself in the foot to not buy shares.

I agree. Amazon is probably the worst big tech company.

So I guess never by a car so you can live without one.

Apples are my favourite snack!
Their heads.
