39·9 days agoFortunately, Iranian state collapse is very much against Turkey’s interests. I am not going to say racist stuff but turkey has highest number of immigrants in the world and it is already straining the economy. We simply don’t have infrastructure to support such sudden population increase. Youth unemployment is already high. In an optimal government, immigrants would be bringing prosperity but our government is not competent enough for such task. If Iranian state is to collapse, I think it’s safe to assume most of them will end up in Turkey. Nafo shit heads were already complaining about Turkish intelligence assisting Iran against kurdish separatists

4·12 days agoI doubt china is going to use its carriers for defensive purposes. they are probably making them in case they might need an airbase thousands of kilometers away from china. being on the move does not mean much when even startup companies can point your location on satelite. carriers are much more fragile than airfields while being much more expensive. you can’t sink an airfield. there were cluster bombs that make airfield hazardeus for aircraft but militaries learned how to patch the airfield up quickly if I remember correctly. also you have to sacrifice some stuff to make your aircraft be able to take off from a much shorter aircraft carrier. I also think iran did not sink carrier on purpose, there would be very high retaliation, you can call it cope too that is reasonable.

22·16 days agoYea. It is made by a brand that is owned by byd

I was always thinking about something like that. imagine digging a vertical hole, putting a retractable platform in there maybe something like image below, and steel doors to shut access after platform descends. maybe another horizontal hole for extra protection, pull the radar with a wench or something. or instead of digging a hole, mage a fortified hangar and pull the radar wench. sure it is probably expensive but these radars cost billions if not hundreds of millions. activate system before how many seconds it take for the radar to be hidden. you know the speed of anti radiation missile, you know the time it takes to platform to secure the radar, you activate the system before anti radiation missile reachs critical range.
Do these tunnels in iran cover radars too or rather short range IR AD vehicles ?
