The premise of this one is as follows, from memory:

The Pope and Hillary Clinton are at an MLB diamond. The Pope says, “With a wave of my hand, I can make these people’s days.”

To which Hillary replies with, “Maybe you should prove that.”

The Pope just backhands the back of her head and everyone cheers at that.

As a former Catholic who would laugh at any funny joke about that religion, the Pope added nothing to this supposed joke.

This one was a swing and a miss.

While I agree with the first sentence, I am curious how you came to the conclusion that this “joke” is misogynistic.

You could replace Hillary Clinton with a male public figure (i.e. Bill Clinton) and it would work just as well.

The pope represents a misogynistic organization, but he is barely relevant in this joke.

Is it related to Hillary Clinton in general getting more negative comments/jokes/etc. because she is a woman?

Is there something in the text that I am missing completely here?

They didn’t do that though, they chose a specific woman. While I am not a fan, you have to ask why her when she is not even in the political spotlight anymore.

That is for sure part of, but women politicians in general get a lot more hate.
