When you have rails and a set of axles in holder I believe that is a “truck”. Like skateboard trucks, and train cars have two trucks

Most likely yeah. If I had to guess I’d say it probably started being used as the term around the time filmmakers were trying to get like side view shots of something like a horse running across a plain.

This is for the working filmmaker that shoots all the small local work like car dealerships and nail salons. The client tends to have some wacky concept that is dull, unfunny, and impractical. And is never satisfied.

Yes it is. A boom shot is a vertical shot that’s achieved by using a jib or a crane to give it a smooth vertical movement. Example from what I believe is Quantum of Solace. Why did you say that’s not correct?

This is the real reason I don’t like subtitles. The terrible dialogue takes away from the scenery and music, and I don’t want it.

If I had a setting to turn off the dialogue audio, I’d use it. The writing is always awful and ruins the movie for me.
I watch movies for the music, camera work, scenery, and costumes. I don’t want or need people talking and distracting me from what I find enjoyable about movies.
Sometimes I watch movies on mute so I can actually pay attention to them without all the blabbing.

Why is it a sin to mute the video and play a different musical backing track? Why does everybody insist I pay attention to dialogue?
Because the dialogue is often an integral part of the experience and by wholly denying yourself paying attention to one of it you’re both denying the artists original vision as well as denying yourself the true experience.
But that’s just me
