I want a glass storage where the lid is also glass and can be used without a silicone gasket but comes with one that makes it a tight seal and the lid can act like a small container.

Those actually exist! But I have only ever seen them as tall, round vessels for storing pickles and stuff.

never thought about using these kinds of things but basically the same idea but with the bowl kinda tupperware way of making things. stackable and ideally sized so that if it has pasta, stew, rice type dish it would be a heaping serving. Like 1.5 meals were you are a bit of a pig to eat the whole thing.

What is wrong with the silicone/rubber rings? It lets you seal them better. Got some chutneys I made in clip top jars. Also clip top bottles for the mead.

Adults are just bigger children who:

    • Peer pressured themselves into stop playing. (optional)

    • Know when it’s appropriate to be silly or have to act serious. (Recommended)

    • Understand the concept of consent. (Should be mandatory but somehow isn’t)

Am i glad video games and lego have gotten normalised for adults at least.

The self peer pressure is real, I think as an adult you start to take into account the effort it takes to do things so you are more conscious about what is worth doing or sacrificing time from other things to do which lowers the fun part of doing it making it less worth it

Ugh yes, I don’t even know how I got this spoon. It’s wide and flat, and has these sheer edges like it was just stamped from a sheet of metal and then fucked into a vaguely spoon adjacent shape by aliens who had heard of the concept of spoon and hated people. Somehow the metal is always kind of grimy looking, even when freshly cleaned.

This spoon will outlive me. It will outlive all of us.

easier to tell apart forks and knives than different spoons!

or maybe just agree to have one set of spoons facing in and one out in the same pocket, actually that’s better.

For me it’s having forks with slightly bent prongs, I absolutely hate that but I also don’t really want to start throwing cutlery away because it’s metal and I don’t really know what to do with it. Is it recyclable?

It is recyclable, since it’s metal. If you have any recycling infrastructure around where you live, there’s probably some place or company or similar, that will take all sorts of stuff, as recycling it can be profitable. Have you already tried searching “metal recycling (your area)” or something like that?

I bought a new water filter today I’m very pleased with it as it’s slightly different to the previous filter.

But yes I’ve definitely become a lot more interested in Tupperware then I would have previously thought possible. I think that’s just because when I was a kid things just happened, and now I actually have to make them happen I realise how convenient it is to have storage containers rather than just putting bowls and plates in the fridge and messing around with crappy plastic film.

Yeah I wouldn’t get a glass one. I’m just going based on pictures though so it might be plastic.

I mean this is what I found with a quick search: https://www.kleankanteen.com/products/plastic-free-water-bottle-27oz

With most of them you have to make a sacrifice in the lid department.

        I personally begrudgingly accept silicone.

I would accept rubber or whatever that is, but they usually have those stupid plastic caps. So yeah, in Serbia, the choices are even more limited.

And then when it stops working so well, because they all stop working so well after about 2 months, is when they all tell you they got one too and you get nervous that you’ve hyped it up so much

“That’s kinda lame.” Yeah, it all kind of is. And the weird part is you get used to some of it.

Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.

The rules are simple:

  • The post can be a single image, an image gallery, or a link to a specific comic hosted on another site (the author’s website, for instance).
  • The comic must be a complete story.
  • If it is an external link, it must be to a specific story, not to the root of the site.
  • You may post comics from others or your own.
  • If you are posting a comic of your own, a maximum of one per week is allowed (I know, your comics are great, but this rule helps avoid spam).
  • The comic can be in any language, but if it’s not in English, OP must include an English translation in the post’s ‘body’ field (note: you don’t need to select a specific language when posting a comic).
  • Politeness.
  • AI-generated comics aren’t allowed.
  • Adult content is not allowed. This community aims to be fun for people of all ages.
