I can totally imagine that this happened somewhere because of today’s problem with logi options +.

I use a mouse that doesn’t require anything beyond the generic USB HID driver that comes with Linux in the first place.
(Okay, okay, I could also use OpenRGB if I wanted to control the lights. But still, it uses fuck-all software provided by the manufacturer.)
I absolutely love piper… I switched to a hero g502 Logitech mouse shortly after ditching windows cause razer under Linux was not working… Love the mouse and that it’s not hindered by Logitechs garbage software
Ploopy trackballs and mice are awesome. Get one!

I am using X-mouse on my MX master 3 just because I’ve become addicted to the Logitech scroll wheel and i absolutely hate having to deal with their dogshit software. Probably doesn’t have 100 percent functionality of the mouse but enough for me.
X-Mouse Button Control is goated. I probably used it on windows since Windows XP.
Now that I’m on Linux I use “Input Remapper”.
Dont use the logitech consumer software. They have their dev version you can get that has just about all the functionality with none of the enshitification:
Onboard Memory Manager

Did you try turning it off and back on again?
Logitech makes some nice accessories and such, but god I hate their software

better then the real thing
Pretty sure, people drawing for commissions would typically use a drawing tablet… ^^’
Oh, I’m happy I saw this. I have a cheap Logitech mouse and I couldn’t use the side buttons on macOS, but they worked in Firefox. Quite weird.
You mean the software that installs itself as a driver from Windows update? And when you install it it installs an old version so it’s absolutely useless and you’re better off getting it yourself?
