Okay, so from my understanding and experience, too many ice breaker mints can cause stomach issues for you. Will sucking on them for approximately 1 minute then removing it from my mouth be a healthier way to consume and avoid the pitfalls of over icebreaker consumption?
It’s the artificial sweetener(s) (Sorbitol and maltitol) that cause some folks tummy troubles.
It all comes down to if it bothers your tummy and if so what your limit is.
Personally I can down a whole tin in 4 hours with no issue.
Real question, hoping that community rules apply to me since it’s topical: why? How much do you consume? Do you have compulsions to eat them?
How is it different to have a part of a mint multiple times instead of a whole mint once? Agree that it’s likely the sugar alcohol. Sugar-free gum gives me terrible stomach cramps within a couple minutes.
You might want to see if ice breakers gum would satisfy your addiction, since you could chew a single one for a lot longer than a minute lasts.
Categorically no
Does it make a difference if it’s ice breaker sours?
I would presume it wouldn’t matter. I don’t think icebreakers have layers and it’s just the same thing all the way through. Sorbitol, while tasting sweet, is a hyperosmotic laxative.
It may be better to address the addiction then trying to dodge the side effects.
I would say you need a significant amount of them before you really need to worry about the side effects.

I guess but it sounds…messy
my body is prepared for the consequences. As for the mints it’s all going in one tissue.
Ya know…when most guys make a mess in a tissue, mints aren’t really involved usually…
