Can anyone recommend me some super mellow relaxing jazz?
I’ve been listening to Space For Two by Oakwood Station and would like more of the same kind of thing before I do it to death!
Thanks :) ✌️
- Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk - Kind of Blue by Miles Davis
- As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls - Amazing, interesting, and relaxing jazz. You can thank me later.
- Something like Hank Mobley’s Soul Station would work, I think
- I tend to like jazz that leans more latin, like Chuck Mangione or Arturo Sandoval. They’re both typically a little more upbeat than the example you gave, but of the two Mangione is definitely chiller than Sandoval, some of Sandoval’s stuff gets pretty frenetic. - Chuck mangione soothes my soul - The Flugelhorn is such a beautiful instrument! I almost had a chance to play a solo on one in my high school marching band, but the first chair trumpet stole it from me, lol.

- I’m particularly partial to the band Bohren & der Club of Gore, who play “dark jazz”. Imagine the kind of jazz you’d expect to be playing at 3am in a smokey, forgotten jazz club where cynical private detectives go to drink away the memories of the one woman who got away.
- Kazumi Watanabe – To Chi Ka
- Sahib Shihab – Sentiments
- Dr. Lonnie Smith - Boogaloo to Beck: A Tribute
- Takeo Moriyama - Smile
- Sevil - Sevil
- Collage - Kadriko
 - stuff that is basically jazz, even though it isn’t actually:
- Its not your traditional jazz, but there is a creator called “take your time” that has been making some great stuff. Here is my favorite, “Jazzy but not too jazzy” Perfect to have on in the background. - This is ai though, right?

- My Favorite Things - John Coltrane
