    They already have controlled them to the extend necessary. Why risk all by playing with the values that are supposed to be the foundation of our societies?

      They don’t. There are still regulations, particularly in Europe, that restrict what corporations can do. Many countries have strong unions and labour rights such as France, Belgium and Scandinavian countries. Activists document what the powerful do and organise protests against them. Contrast that with actual totalitarian regimes such as China and what the US is turning into.

        Those regulations and unions are the reason people feel free and accept Capitalism.

        The US can’t distract their population forever. They have a short term goal, and so does the EU if they copy the US.
