It seems like he might have settled for this as a win condition, so he’s no longer making appearances to push things into other agendas for now.
States need to step up if the government remains shut down, this is the perfect opportunity and excuse for them.

There are plenty of people who care and want to see law and order, but there are far, far more people who don’t watch the news anymore. Combine that with the fact that our entire legislative branch and congressional branch has been bought out, and we’re in a world now that more closely resembles pre-industrial monarchy.
