I want you to be happy too comrade.

I think it depends on what you mean by salvageable. How low can your standards go. Modern civilization, everything you see around us, very not salvageable.

I am far too committed to believing what I have evidence for to believe in religion.

I feel connection to you because of our suffering, because we are trans. I do not feel connected to humanity as a whole. I feel quite spiteful and hateful towards them.

Thank you comrade. I really do appreciate people talking with me.

For me, salvageable means our continued “success” and “progress” as a species. In so much as that we don’t completely destroy the globe, biosphere, all diversity, the climate, etc, before realizing maybe we shouldn’t. (I’m not trying to be a jerk. I mean the bar is really really low. I just hope we don’t all die.) We are already in an extinction event, how will it play out?

Also of course all religions are a scam, I was being diplomatic.

There is more suffering in this world than just yours or mine. It is easy to embrace hatred, if it wasn’t how would the fascists find so many recruits?

I’ve felt so overwhelmed by hatred for the world. That part of me wants to see death and destruction. Everlasting fire and brimstone for all of mankind.

But is that what I would ever inflict on someone? Certainly there are those who I would love to torment and punish, but indiscriminately, to all of humanity, that isn’t something I could want. I wouldn’t want to hurt you by mistake.

I don’t think we are irredeemable.

Completely sounds like too low of a benchmark for success to me. Either way we won’t know for at least a few decades shrug-outta-hecks either way its going to be bad, worse then now.

Of course there is. More majorities oppressing more minorities does not make me dislike humanity any less. But why not focus on our own oppression? Countless examples of cis people oppressing and hating us. The many other examples of people making others suffer does not make me like humanity any more. I distinctly remember reading about American slavery and thinking about how evil people can be.

Honestly I find it all the more depressing that people can suffer oppression and yet still repeat, in some cases the exact same type, of oppression to others.

I wouldn’t indiscriminately kill humanity for that very reason. There are, somehow, good people in there. That is why climate change bothers me so much.

I think the ghg charts have a lot more say in that then I do. Doesn’t look great.

I wrote a poem once after my sisters were apprehended from my dad’s care and he just didnt want to do anything about getting them back. No courses, no meetings, not attending court. I loved him and my sisters and I believed in him and he just wouldn’t do the absolute bare minimum to make amends for the abuse he doled out to us. It went something like "I want to tear down the stars and make heaven fall, I want to open the earth and rip its beating heart out, " yadda yadda. I think I saved it somewhere.

Ive seen a lot on suffering and the aftermath of it at work. Lot of abused and traumatized kids and adults. There have been people I wished I could reach out and snuff out like a candle and the world - at least the innocent people and children around them - might be better off…

I still go in and try to be compassionate because I do believe a better world is possible and if we are in the proverbial Kali Yuga and no redemption or enlightenment is possible its still our duty to each other to try and make the world a better place. Whats the other option? Make it worse I guess?
