If this ends in Tucker Carlson running for president we’re SO cooked.

He has the messaging skills and charisma that Trump never had (he was the most popular TV show host for a while), and he’s been an ardent white supremacist for decades (vs Trump’s half-assed self-interested bigotry). He could probably make white supremacy look like a sensible option to even the Trump-averse right-wing establishment types, and to the corporations and billionaires that hate Trump for what he’s doing to the economy.

Recently I’ve seen him co-opting traditionally leftist concerns about housing and affordability, and unless the Dems do the unthinkable and actually field popular candidates, that’s going to win over even MORE people than Trump ever could with his blatantly fake populism.

Add in the usual caveats about how things don’t need to turn out this way, etc. I’m just scared.

I used to be against Stewart for President. Now? He’s clearly intelligent enough, surrounds himself with the people he needs to research and get things done, puts all his energy into his work, and does it honorably. That’s more than can be said for a lot of candidates.

Co-opting leftist talking points on a far right platform has worked very very well for Nigel Farage in the UK.

Tucker probably doesn’t have the charisma or political skill of Nige, but he’s got other things that might fill the gaps. I’m honestly terrified of them both.

I can’t think of many times I’ve heard him talk about it.

When I have, he usually answers the question he wished he’d been asked instead, or talks about how it didn’t go far enough.

Or as far as he’d intended, or far enough to work.

I don’t think he plays for either side. He’s an opportunist who was spurned by one side. Now his opportunities lie elsewhere and he’s exploiting them thoroughly.

If I had to guess, his hope is likely to do enough damage to become the better devil they know.

Everyone knows you can make more money from swindling the right than the left.

He has a side, it’s Vladimir Putin’s side. His clips are aired regularly on Russian media, and he “interviewed” Putin in Moscow last year by tossing him a bunch of softball questions.

Btw I heard an idea that everyone is fighting for Charlie Kirk’s followers: Carlson, Shapiro, Fuentes, etc. That’s why there’s so many weird interviews and headlines as they try to get the follower’s attention. Kinda makes sense.

The last media talking head to start speaking ill of Trump was Charlie Kirk if I’m not mistaken.

Like I’m not saying Tucker is going to have an assassination attempt but it sure would be convenient for that to happen so Trump could have a distraction from the Epstein stuff… Which coincidentally was also a big talking point right before Charlie Kirks assassination…

In a video with Ben Shapiro he questioned if the news we were hearing regarding Israel and Gaza could be trusted. Shapiro looked mortified that a fellow conservative would even entertain such a thought. It’s been alluded that was the moment that Kirk sealed his fate.

He backed off very hard on this in line with a bunch of other conservative talking heads. This is from July:

“Plenty was said this last weekend at our event about Epstein. Honestly, I’m done talking about Epstein for the time being. I’m going to trust my friends in the administration, I’m going to trust my friends in the government to do what needs to be done, solve it, ball’s in their hands. I’m going to trust my friends Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, my friend Pam Bondi. All these guys. Ball’s in their court. I think that there was plenty of, let’s say, speeches that were directed towards this topic this last weekend. So we don’t need to spend our valuable time on this program relitigating it.”

Emphasis mine because saying “balls in their hands” is hilarious to me.

It sure would be wild if I felt really conflicted right now. It is a good thing I don’t Mr FBI Agent Reading This.

But a LOT of the right wing and even magat base are turning on trump by the day. He is actively killing the economy (so all their donors), once again has demonstrated he can’t get anyone else elected, and actively hurt their careers by fucking up the shutdown so badly that even schumer can’t take ALL the blame.

Combine that with his well documented health issues and the odds are good he doesn’t survive until 2028… for multiple reasons (again, what up Mr FBI Agent Reading This?). So a LOT of chuds are trying to position themselves as his successor.

In reality all of this is probably a distraction. Epstein was a distraction. Everything trump does is a distraction. While the real people work on their new world order game in the background.

I think Charlie Kirk was a hit too. Maybe even just for distraction.

Anyone who paid attention at the time could have told you that Crooks was a shitpost conservative who engaged in a shitpost shooting.

And yes, this was inconvenient for Trump, so the conservatives instantly stopped talking about it.

The only reason it’s coming up again, is the Epstein emails that have recently come out. And the bombshells yet to come.

Old fucker Tucker here, is already on the outs with mainstream conservative groupthink. So is trying to position himself for a possible comeback. Not knowing that it will never work.

See, Tucker is a loser who was fired for costing Fox a shit ton of money. Conservatives care about that shit.

The current fucking around that America is dealing with is probably FBI/CIA… Like all of it… Them manipulating and using Epstein… Trump… It seems like feds are throwing a coup.of America and using the right and left psychologically as a tool.

Americans can’t save america by voting anymore. America is owned and compromised by a cancer of corruption from street gangs to intelligence agencies to military personnel.

Trump isn’t exactly friendly with the CIA. His relationship with the CIA was marked by deep suspicion and frequent public attacks. Trump often accused the intelligence community of working against him and undermining his administration, especially over investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 election. He publicly disparaged CIA officials and even compared the intelligence community’s actions to those of “Nazi Germany.” Trump cut CIA workforce and spending, dismissed officers involved in diversity initiatives, and showed support for controversial positions like bringing back torture. His mistrust and criticism led to strained interactions with CIA leadership and concerns about morale and operational security within the agency. Not to mention when he blew the cover of an untold number of CIA agents, a direct betrayal.

Trump’s hostility was even more direct with the FBI. He publicly questioned the agency’s integrity, calling its reputation “worst in history,” and fired FBI Director James Comey, labeling him a liar and leaker. Trump accused the FBI of illegal activities like wiretapping his campaign and removed multiple top FBI officials. He demanded lists of employees involved in investigations connected to his alleged misconduct and disparaged the bureau’s motives and credibility on various occasions. All this shit fueled a significant decline in morale and trust within the FBI, contributing to a contentious and adversarial relationship between Trump and the bureau throughout his tenure.

I remember hearing in an interview, something along the lines of a suggestion that the CIA could take some kind of action against Trump for all his bullshit. The former CIA employee only said “there are a lot of good boys at the CIA and they’re doing what they’re supposed to” but he said it with a tone that implied that their patience was being tested by Trump’s vitriol… And that interview was done during Trump’s first term, before he turned into the tangerine tyrant.

I can only imagine what they’re up to now, especially if they’re serious about either upholding the constitution or maintaining the status quo. I get the impression that they are probably fans of both.

    Well, yeah…

If the people in charge of security were honest, they’d be fired. Anyone that doesn’t say what trump wants to hear get fired.

So when it comes to stuff like this, no real actions are taken to prevent it from happening again. Because you won’t acknowledge why it happened.

As the right fractures more and more, this will keep happening. Maga has always been a loose coalition of different groups with different goals. And trumps not even trying to keep them all happy anymore. They all thought they’d be the priority, and now they’re pissed and feel used.
