    The GOP continues to make themselves look like incredible assholes. Is shooting themselves in the foot an effective strategy?

      To their base this is probably perceived as a victory. Republicans have been radicalizing for decades now with no signs of slowing down. I don’t know where it will lead, but it scares me.

    Reminds me of tactics employed during the civil war era. I would love to see an analysis of when/how these kinds of tactics are employed throughout US history. I’m no scholar on this, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was employed during periods of deep division.
