Someone made a post that is at least irrelevant to !keepwriting@lemmy.world and is asking people to pay money for their ebook, which would be considered unsolicited advertising, i.e. spam.

I removed the post from !keepwriting@lemmy.world. Though I have not banned the user or removed their other posts. At least not yet. Their repeated requests for ko-fi donations does look spammy, but they do link to free copies to their writing. In the post you referenced there’s a Google Docs link to the book farther down. I’m not sure if the user is only here to panhandle or if they are just tone-deaf.

You can change the visual name of a community, but you cannot change its slug. You would have to create a new community.

Yeah I deleted it. I googled and the company looks legit but ads don’t belong there.
