    Trans athlete ban just hit USA Fencing. Leadership didn’t want it, membership didn’t want it, but the executive order threatened their NGB status.

    Shit sucks. The chairman gave a good shot at defending us at the doge show trial, but idk what could be done here. If they didn’t comply, we might end up with a governing body that actually hates trans people, rather than one that tried but failed to include us.

      USA Fencing supports fencing for all. In July 2025, the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), through its updated Athlete Safety Policy, directed every National Governing Body to align athlete‑eligibility policies with a federal executive order.

      I see! So yes, it’s all about access to the Olympics. Much more important than “integrity of sport” or “inclusivity”. This is why I support the total annihilation of professional sport.

        Idk if this is shitty of me but I always think about how people would react if it was a race ban instead. Both the people who would still say “well it’s more important the majority get to play then no one” and the people who would suddenly change their mind. Would people grimace and say, well, I guess it was that or the sport not existing?

        People, cis and trans, are far too accepting of our discrimination.
