Was born with super small feet in the 1st percentile as well as hands due to a benign genetic issue. Totally healthy but shoe shopping is always awkward. Have decent balance and can walk and run fine as my calf muscles are quite developed to compensate. No, the myth isn’t true.

At least you get to wear the cooler shoes? The big sizes usually look so boring while the kids get all the fun!

Man I’m jealous as hell. I have a small head so I weak kids sunglasses (specifically spider man at the moment, because they are sort of like 10-year-old-boy size with nothing printed on the lense, and girl glasses for that age fuckin suck) but I would love to rock kids shoes too!

Kids get all the cool stuff. And you, apparently.

How many pair of light up shoes do you have?

    For international readers, that’s a size 2 in UK/Australia, and approximately a size 33.5 - 34 European.

    Apparently it’s also roughly a 210 - 215 mondopoint length.

I was about to say, it looks like there are some bones or something missing in the front part of the foot there. Like the tendons are skipping over and attaching to something farther back than they should. And the toes seem like they aren’t allowed to stretch out fully. I think I saw that condition on some foot doctor show. Very interesting anomaly.

I’m totally relieved to hear about your weiner though. Glad you mentioned that. ✔️

This is another photo of my foot compared to my friend’s size 10 shoe. It’s relatively “normal” looking but just shrunk down. And yes, it is a relief that this didn’t spread to other areas.

Roger that, glad you reaffirm again! I was about to ask for a DP but I feel safe again now.

Wow yeah this shows a difference.

I’m size ten, “like everyone in the army” (Band of Brothers reference) and like your feet or hands didn’t seem particularly small from the original photo in the post, this makes the size much clearer.

        European 43-44

ffs I had to fire up Tor browser to look at the photo from the UK… I guess I’ll start using it more regularly with sites blocking the entire country in response to these overreaching new laws -.-

Whoa cool–you’re like … the opposite of a hobbit O_O
you could complement the vibe by living in a treehouse,
which is sort of the conceptual opposite of a hole in the ground!!

Where’s the guy with the ridiculously huge feet? We need to get you in touch so you can balance each other out.

I once knew a woman who was just under 5 feet and wore women’s size 10 shoes (men’s 8). She called herself a hobbit all the time.

6’-5” with size 16. I’ve met people taller with just size 11 or 13 and I’m like, damnit! Once fell out of a kayak because my feet got stuck, and when I do partner dance I gotta be so careful in closed positions like in Balboa.

If I had to pick an extreme I’d go small.

Genuine question, do your feet do a good job of keeping you on your feet? Like as far as you or any doctors know, are you prone to not staying on your feet any more or less than say someone with average sized feet for your height?

He said in the OP that his balance is fine. Lemmy’s design can sometimes make you not notice that the OP has text, so you might have missed it.

About balance, you might be interested in my comment as well. If you can’t find it: https://discuss.tchncs.de/comment/19894355

Off topic: is there an instance-agnostic way of linking to a post/comment?

It’s a bit weird that this comment was replied to or upvoted because I deleted it right after making it, at least two hours ago. I thought I should double check the post about my question, saw the answer so deleted my comment thinking what a dummy I was. Maybe some instances are out of sync again.
