it’s both still outer wilds and also very different, but i think it’s a fantastic followup
if i can’t turn the particle effects and screenshake up from their default setting, then it’s not for me
that specific issue with that specific puzzle is a common complaint, I think the devs have said they would have handled it differently if they were to do it again
maybe someday you come back to search for the echo, they really managed to pull off the same feat twice
there’s relics that benefit single-element or multi-element builds, but there’s no innate benefit to matching elements. if your relics don’t care then you’re free to use whatever
imo the toughest part of the game is breaking the habit of trying to dash through attacks, not having i-frames on the dash is so unusual for the genre and still fucks me up sometimes

i finally turned my pile of 12 year old mystic clovers into a Sunrise thanks to the wizard vault starter kit, I know it’s stupid as hell but it feels like I just tied up a loose thread in my life
I definitely wish there was more situational use for different weapons and kits instead of “just keep literally everything except cc on cooldown”
funny enough weapon swapping fucks with me for a different reason, I spent so long maining the only two classes that can’t swap (engi/ele) that I routinely forget other classes can swap
i played the first one enough that yeah, i get where you’re coming from. never seen anything else quite like it
