If you put Matrix, why not XMPP? XMPP even has an ActivityPub gateway now and does micro/marco-blogging via software like Movim.eu

And, if you really don’t like people that much, there is SSB/Manyverse.
Shouldn’t Hubzilla and Friendica be connected do Diaspora Network together with Diaspora?
Is Friendica still connecting to Diaspora? I thought they dropped that when switching to native ActivityPub?
