I spent most of my weekend playing Kerbal Space Program. I’m still very bad at it, but I can now consistently get into orbit, and sometimes land on Mun. Next step is to try and land a science team on Mun and have enough gas to get them back home.

I also got Blue Prince at a friend’s recommendation, but haven’t had a chance to play it yet.

Yes published and developed by the people behind the OG Life is Strange. Different game / even universe but it does follow in the footsteps of Life is Strange. Afaik Life is Strange isnt DONTNOD own IP and they wanted a game that they truly own.

Still Warframe, I’ve mostly stopped my MR grind (though I’m close to LR2) and am now just kinda doing side stuff. Grabbing 2 incarnons a week, as those are generally very strong, but goddamn the Circuit is a horrible game mode.

Might go back to Risk of Rain 2 now that they’ve added some more alternate abilities (and requisite challenges) to the characters from the last DLC. Also have to actually start Citizen Sleeper 2 one of these days.

Lost my monthly game of Warhammer, sadly space elves are kinda overcosted in boarding actions.

i’ve been playing CS2 and overwatch 2. it feels akin to relapsing on an old drug in some sense, the highs are amazing but they can make you feel so bad too. it’s gonna be a short stint i think but having a good time, been a number of years

After beating and thoroughly enjoying System Shock 2, I’m now doing the same with the remake of the first. There’s way more junk items, ones you can convert to money at recycle stations. I’m a pack rat at heart, so I actually kinda find it therapeutic to run back and forth recycling everything after the level is empty of threats lol.

Getting back into satisfactory since its finally out of early access.

Just got steel production up and running and Mark 2 Miners and Mark 3 belts. So that is 20 smelters running off of 3 belts of iron, then going to do assembly on the second floor and that is just 1/4 of the footprint of the planned layout so far. I am planning to build a massive factory wrapping around the space elevator before going off to build specialized outposts for some rarer materials like quartz, caterium, etc.

I missed the PS2 era so I acquired the newest Ratchet and Clank to see if it’s still fun.

It is. Plenty of new and classic weapons, allies, and enemies, a fairly straight forward plot, and an all around polished feel. Its just nice clean goofy fun. Strong recommend for any 30+ year old who needs a dose of nostalgia.

I played mouthwashing the other day. It was a very well made horror game, but I don’t think it deserves the indie-game-of-the-year pedestal people put it on. Something that I realized that I haven’t heard anyone talk about is that Jimmy is always seen in the left seat of the cockpit as a way to show his constant desire to be — or appear to be — in command.

I think its in my top 10 this year but I agree it would have to be more ambitious to reach GOTY status for me. With that said I do think the devs behind it could no problem make a game that is deserving of GOTY just based on the skills showed in mouthwashing.

Plus I gotta respect a game that does so much with so little time.

9 Kings is a totally fun and potentially addicting tower defense rouge lite. $10 if it’s still on sale and definitely worth it. Early enough that more kings should be added.

Also chess is fun, been playing on the chess.com app against friends. Never got into it as a kid but it’s having a Renaissance in my circle.

I think they overcorrected a lot of the demo kings/units and the initial launch. A lot of units are really weak and several are auto-picks. You can’t get past King V unless you either get the nuts (like level 3 Ballista right away with a bunch of Procreates) or Defenders with a Cauldron. I should leave some feedback on the Steam forums for the devs because they listen over there, but that’s a lot of effort.

I have definitely noticed some auto picks. Demon Altar, if you can get it early game. Same with mycelium or whatever the mushroom one is called. The greed tower that increases neighboring attack speeds gets bonkers too after the first boss fight.

Finally playing DQ3 HD-2D. Dragon Warrior 3 on GBC was probably my most played game as a kid and I haven’t touched it since
