Maybe when the right-wing media stop.
That is why I specified “less extreme,” but yeah, that’s fair.
Pretty spot-on, honestly - I chose this moniker because it seemed to fit my “Jack of all trades, master of none” knowledge levels. I know my limitations, and will freely admit to them. That includes not having the IQ-boosting accent.
It was a joke. I’m honestly dunking on them mainly because I don’t care for the dominant political mindset. I know they have the same intelligence mix as most any other large populace.
I got the impression OP was smart enough not to fully reveal their hand. As far as specifically having a reason goes, she doesn’t sound rational enough to need any more of a reason if she were serious. I doubt they can just “get rid of” their own kid without creating significant troubles for themselves - at least not here in America.
Never mind that it just sounds like she’s got mental issues she’s taking out on OP, or she’d actually have done something rather than letting OP know what she’s planning. I figure OP just needs to shut her up for their own sanity.
Less extreme Leftists generally aren’t nearly as likely to be control freaks as the right (although there are always exceptions), so getting them (as a group) angry enough to fight takes much more effort than it does the right.

Hell, I’d give any game that can accomplish that a five-star rating for sure!
"A once-in-a-lifetime must experience!!”
You gonna make them write it twice? 😜
The answer is probably being worked on even now on Sony’s site.
Lemme guess: “It sucked.” is the entirety of the review?
Well, if we’re actually talking TX here, wouldn’t that just about put you into Mensa territory - relatively speaking, of course?

Anger is also not only a well-known motivator, but also rage really puts on the blinders - focusing them on their target, and making open-minded thinking even more unlikely than before.
You don’t have to be dead for it to trigger, just don’t reset the timer before it runs out.
The purpose here is to maintain the current status quo (I presume OP is dependent upon their parents currently) so OP has more time to find alternate living arrangements. Having this sort of ticking time bomb to hold over her head shifts the balance of power towards OP, and may help keep the mother more in line.
Set up a “Dead Man’s Switch” & tell her about it. Tell her if something happens to you then it’ll automatically trip sometime shortly thereafter, and air all their dirty laundry. You can even show her the article if she doesn’t believe you.
Just be yourself, and stop giving a fuck what others think. I mean, be realistic, and be prepared to protect yourself from the innumerable assholes out there. There’s always gonna be assholes of some type of another. They’ll make up a reason to hate on you if they have to, so it doesn’t really much matter in the end. I’d rather be myself than live in fear, constantly trying to guess how best not to trigger the assholes.
GET OFF MY LAWN, YOU DISRESPECTFUL CRETIN!!!
The left one makes me think the Fantastic Four are known as the Avengers in one of those infinite alternate realities we haven’t seen yet.
Conservative bullies believe they’ll almost always win in the end if they just keep at it and force their way through to their end goal. For most business & personal goals where they have significant control over most variables, this unfortunately tends to work out well for them. So they believe they can apply it to everything.
Social & societal issues are areas where they have significantly less direct control (unless you have control over most everything that society is exposed to from practically the day they’re born), which is why they rely upon lies and manipulation so much. The complexity of managing things you have less direct control over makes being successful at it much more unpredictable, however.
Since bullying their way through is their instinctive modus operandi, they’ll still try to do it with these issues no matter what feedback they get. So while it may feel satisfying to put them on the spot, they’re unlikely to take the feedback seriously - even from their own base.
It’s blatant arrogance that has been the hallmark of the MAGA world, and which ultimately will be their undoing. Unfortunately, we still have to sit through the process even though it’s so easy to see where it’s going. Kinda like watching a show with your kids that’s predictable AF, but that they’re loving because they think they’ve never seen anything like it before even though the basic storyline has been done a million times in their other shows.
